BIBLOS-2 Scope

In Passive Optical Instruments BIBLOS2 refactored data storage and implemented calculations GPU in . Scene Interaction Block, Resampling Block and Atmosphere Simulation Block. In Instrument module many changes were introduced with respect to BIBLOS v1.0. In BIBLOS v2.x instrument can have radiometric response to different wavelengths within one detector band. Pre-defined Modulation Transfer Functions were added to configuration files, noises, non-uniformities and non-linearities can be simulated. Implementing those changes required affecting interfaces, therefore Instrument Module of BIBLOS v2.x is incompatible with v1.0. Passive and Active Microwave Instruments were implemented from scratch.

Passive Optical Instruments currently support pushbroom scanning and contain:

  • Geometry Module
  • Scene Generator Module
  • Instrument Module

Passive Microwave Instruments implemented following modules for conical scanners:

  • Geometry Module
  • Scene Generator Module
  • Instrument Module
  • Level-1 Processing Module

Active Microwave Instruments implemented following modules for TOPS and Stripmap monostatic or multistatic missions:

  • Geometry Module
  • Scene Generator Module
  • Performance Evaluation Module
